Gaeun Haesol Campground
The Gaeun Haesol Campground, or in English “The Sun Pine Campground in Gaeun”, is a spacious camping site where you can relax and enjoy camping in the heart of nature. Located in Mungyeong, a city in the North Gyeongsang Province, this campground offers a serene escape from the bustle of city life.
Getting There
The campground is approximately 30 kilometers from Mungyeong City Hall. The journey by car, which takes about 40 minutes, involves a scenic drive along Mungyeong Daero, Gurang-ro, and Daya-ro. The campground is situated near the peak of Noejeong Mountain, at an altitude of 992 meters.
Facilities and Activities
Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted by an expansive space reminiscent of a school playground. The campground features ten general camping sites made of crushed stones, with no restrictions on the size of the tents. However, while personal trailers are allowed, caravans are not. The campground is open on both weekdays and weekends, except for a seasonal closure from December to February. Reservations can only be made via phone.

As the campground does not operate a store, guests are advised to bring their own supplies or shop at nearby supermarkets. The campground is also a great home base for exploring local attractions, including the Gyeonghwal Historic Site, Mungyeong Eco Lala, and Sunyu-dong Valley. You can also indulge in a variety of culinary delights at various restaurants located towards the Gaeun Bus Terminal.
