Jwagoo Mountain Auto Camping Site
Nestled within the embrace of Jwagoo Mountain, the Jwagoo Mountain Auto Camping Site is a nature-friendly campsite located in Jeungpyeong-eup, Jeungpyeong-gun, Chungbuk. The camping site is about a 25-minute drive from the Jeungpyeong County Office, passing through the Zeungcheon Bridge intersection and Yuli intersection. The site is named after Jwagoo Mountain, whose shape resembles a turtle sitting facing the south. This unique location draws campers who enjoy a light hike in addition to their camping experience.
Features and Benefits
The campsite has a small stream flowing in front of it, making it an excellent place for simple water activities during the summer. It comprises 11 auto camping sites, each measuring 8m x 8m, laid out on grass. The ample space between each site ensures a private camping experience. Both personal trailers and caravans can enter the site. Though there is no convenience store on-site, a supermarket is located about 10 minutes away by car, making it easy to purchase necessary camping supplies. Nearby attractions include Jwagoo Mountain Natural Recreation Forest and Sangdang Mountain Fortress, making it easy for campers to plan a combined tour. A variety of restaurants can be found in the direction of the Cheongcheon-myeon office in Goesan-gun.
