Bojagi Restaurant: Representing Damyang with our Signature Bear Cabbage Kimchi Wraps

Welcome to Bojagi (보자기): A Farm-to-Table Experience in Damyang

Imagine a dining experience where the warmth of Korean hospitality meets the freshness of farm-to-table cuisine. Welcome to Bojagi, a picturesque restaurant nestled in the scenic county of Damyang, South Jeolla Province. This inviting haven is a testament to the charm of Korean rural life, showing the world what Damyang has to offer through a dish called Gom-Bo Cabbage Ssam-bap.

From Cabbage To a Culinary Delight

In 2004, Bojagi proprietor Choi Mi-Kyung discovered Gom-Bo cabbage, a staple crop indigenous to this region. Inspired by the cabbage’s unique taste and texture, she developed Gom-Bo cabbage Doenjang (soybean paste) and beverages, for which she received a patent. After long considerations on how to utilize this special ingredient further, she decided to open Bojagi, a restaurant offering delectable dishes with Gom-Bo cabbage as the main ingredient.
