Unmun Mountain County Park Somaeri Campground
Unmun Mountain County Park Somaeri Campground, also known as 운문산군립공원 소머리 야영장, is a family-friendly camping site located in Unmun-myeon, Cheongdo-gun, Gyeongsangbuk-do.
Introduction
Set approximately 40 km away from Cheongdo County Office, the campground is easily accessible by car via Cheongmae-ro, Cheongnyeo-ro, and Unmun-ro, with an estimated travel time of about 60 minutes. The site is conveniently adjacent to the road and surrounded by mountains, making it a perfect escape into nature.
The campground is situated near a wide-flowing stream, and upon entrance, visitors are welcomed by its iconic large Somaeri-shaped artificial rock climbing facility. The site offers 112 general camping spots formed with bare soil. The sizes and quantities of the sites are as follows: 57 sites of 6m by 7m and 55 sites of 8m by 10m, all spaced generously. Electricity is available, but personal trailers and caravans are not permitted. The campground operates all year round and only accepts reservations on-site.
Nearby, visitors can easily access numerous attractions such as the National Unmun Mountain Natural Recreation Forest and Unmunsa Temple. A variety of restaurants are also located within a close distance for culinary explorations.
