Sangsowon Auto Camping Site
Situated in the heart of nature yet conveniently close to the city, Sangsowon Auto Camping Site offers the perfect retreat for urban dwellers seeking a much-needed escape.
Location and Accessibility
Located in the Dong-gu district of Daejeon, the camping site is just about 11 kilometers away from Daejeon City Hall. It takes roughly 40 minutes to reach the site by car via Daejeon-ro, Geumsan-ro, and Sannae-ro. Despite its proximity to the city center, the site still offers an incredibly nature-friendly camping experience thanks to the lush vegetation surrounding it.
Facilities and Amenities
The camping site is divided into four sections centered around a central grass square. It boasts 50 car camping spots, 19 gravel spots, 9 decks, and 22 gravel spots. Electricity is available at each site and personal trailers and caravans are allowed. To ensure easy access for all campers, four toilets and two shower rooms have been installed throughout the campsite. However, there is no convenience store operating on-site.

Despite the lack of in-house features and benefits, the camping site is close to some of Daejeon’s most popular tourist spots such as Manisan Mountain, Bomunsan Mountain, Sikjangsan Mountain, Daejeon O-World, and Ppuri Park. Plenty of restaurants are also located nearby, promising a delightful culinary experience for food lovers.
