Established on October 25, 1985, the Korea National Arboretum and Forest Museum opened its doors to the public on April 5, 1987. From the beginning, the mission of this arboretum has been to preserve and protect the forests of Korea. In order to maintain the integrity of the natural environment, entrance on weekends and holidays is restricted, and reservations are required five days in advance. By limiting daily visitors to a maximum of 5,000, the arboretum ensures a tranquil and sustainable experience for all.

Spanning an impressive area of 1,157 square kilometers, the Korea National Arboretum is home to 15 specialized forests, each offering a unique and captivating experience. Discover the Forest Museum
Step inside the Forest Museum, the largest of its kind in Asia, covering an expansive 4,628 square meters. Designed with a traditional Korean aesthetic, this museum not only captivates with its architecture but also with its wealth of knowledge. The interior and exterior are crafted from wood and stone, creating a harmonious blend with the surrounding nature.
As you explore the museum, you will encounter five exhibition halls: Living Forest, Forest and Man, Forestry of the World, Forestry of Korea, and Nature of Korea. Getting Here
If you’re traveling via subway, make your way to Uijeongbu Station (Seoul Subway Line 1) and take Exit 1. From there, you can catch Bus No. 21 at the bus stop in front of Uijeongbu Police Station.
